On the Mend Tea
A restorative herbal blend for getting your strength back after illness.
On the Mend was created for that in-between stage when you’re getting over being sick but still don’t quite feel like yourself. Energy may be low, the respiratory system may still feel irritated or congested, and the body needs nourishment, warmth and gentle support as it rebuilds.
This blend combines rosehips, grapefruit, olive leaf, eleuthero, hyssop, lemongrass and clove for a bright, aromatic cup with citrusy, herbaceous and gently warming notes.
Rosehips provide naturally occurring vitamin C and antioxidant-rich plant compounds. Eleuthero is traditionally used as an adaptogenic restorative for resilience, stamina and recovery following periods of stress or depletion. Hyssop has a long history of traditional use for respiratory support, particularly when cough or congestion lingers. Olive leaf provides antioxidant and traditional immune support, while lemongrass and grapefruit give the blend its fresh citrus character. Clove brings warming aromatic compounds and rounds out the tea with a comforting spice.
The result is a beautiful tea to keep in the apothecary for post-illness recovery, lingering seasonal crud, depleted energy, respiratory support and those days when you’re finally turning the corner but still need a little help getting back on your feet.
